Sometimes it’s the groom who reaches out to us, that’s what happened with Paul and Heather. They started out planning a small wedding, with limited help from our side, hoping to get married in November. However, shortly after seeing the first offers and meeting us, they decided to move the celebration to summer, when the days are longer and the weather is more pleasant. In the end, their wedding on a warm August afternoon included all it should – the Main Square, a horse carriage ride…

What remained unusual, was the wedding cake. Paul loves freshly baked donuts with various fillings and so we placed these on a cake stand, with just a small (yet tiered) cake to be cut on top. There were also some musical surprises – first we hired a rock band, but then the Couple decided they would only perform until midnight. Later, a DJ and a sax player took over for a more club-like dance experience.

Considering the season and the Bride’s name, we really had no other choice than to focus around heathers when designing the decorations. The style could be described as „wuthering heights”, with napkins on the tables loosely presented and each cover decorated with a single succulent.

In case they needed to rest from dancing, guests could pose for a caricaturist, creating very unique and personal wedding favours. From this wedding, we will remember a few unusual scenes, such as a sudden „tyre” (horseshoe) change during the carriage ride, but mostly we will remember Heather and Paul’s big smiles, their kindness and mutual love. We wish you a wonderful life together!
