Even though Karolina and Bartek only reached out to us half a year ago, the vision of this wedding evolved constantly for a very long time. From a fairly small and short event, we eventually ended up at an all-night long celebration for almost 200 Guests, spread across three floors, with a lounge, club and restaurant area, a Great Gatsby dress code and surrounded by the grand city festival „Wianki”. While our Guests were sipping drinks and enjoying the views on the upper deck, the popular Polish singer Brodka gave a concert on the city stage right next to us. There’s no exaggeration if we say our Guests had the best seats in town that night.

There were three constants in planning this wedding:

1. the date – one of the longest days of the year, the first Saturday of summer,

2. Wianki – an inspiration with Slavic traditions and symbols,

3. The Vistula as the backdrop and scene of the party.

As the number of Guests grew, we had to drop the idea of a cruise, but a vessel docked at the river bank was just as impressive. The Bride had a clear idea of how she wanted the ceremony spot to be arranged. Finding exceptional furniture for the Bride&Groom lounge was a major challenge and a key element of the ceremony design.

The total transformation of the space began at dawn on the wedding day. We installed grass, lounge furniture, paper flowers, light bulb chains, purple pillows of different shades. The party was unconventional through and through, with a buffet type cocktail set up instead of a traditional sit down meal. Although there was a wedding cake, it was not officially cut by the couple. Instead of tossing the bouquet, the Bride and her female Guests threw floral wreaths into the river, previously charming them so they may bring luck in the pursuit of true love.

It wasn’t the first time, that part of our job was also to coordinate the party with the Couple’s own catering. Such a scenario is always a challenge, but we made it work. This night will stay in our memory for a long time, giving us and the Guests a very different perspective of the city, also due to the totally transformed space on the boat and definitely thanks to the stunning Bride, her two fabulous dresses, the Groom dressed like James Bond. Many Couples dream of a very unusual wedding, Karolina and Bartek proved it possible. We wish them best of luck in any future endeavours.
