Basia and Raul held their wedding under a marquee. Mostly the ceiling, which allowed us to install fairy lights, otherwise it felt more like an outdoor celebration.

On a big property dotted with old majestic trees, with scenic views on local fields and hills, it was a dream outdoor wedding for an international crowd. While the venue had been selected earlier, the choice to go with the marquee became evident due to the pandemical situation. We were in a meeting in March of 2020, while the PM announced the first lockdown. Basia and Raul glanced at each other and expressed their determination to get married that same year no matter what. Eventually though, we were all surprised by the scale of the difficulties. Not only would Raul’s family have trouble arriving from Romania, but he himself wasn’t able to go to his home country for months to complete the required paperwork.

In the end, the ceremony and the party were so successful, that we never doubted the necessary changes. Basia dreamed of flowers and decorations inspired by wisteria, so we were surrounded by subtle pastel shades and wild flowers. Thanks to the relatively low guest count, the Couple went for a mixed set up of tables, some round, some rectangular, which worked very well in the regular space of the tent. Around the marquee we arranged a chillout zone, a photo bus was set up too and the children along with caretakers could run around until late.

Good things come to those who wait, although we do wish Basia and Raul that their future plans can go ahead more smoothly and without hiccups. Thank you for this very pleasant cooperation.
